Be an active member of the forum
I used to be an active member of many SEO forums. But I hardly visit any of them. But later at 2012-2013, I started reading the posts in various forums. It changes the theory of mine in big time. People are posting their problems, and others are solving it. I believe the forum is the most important learning center for all the digital marketer. Not for a marketer only, it can be anything. Whenever I face any issue regarding my computer, I visit Tom’s Hardware Forum. Either I find my solution from a similar post, or I posted my problem there, and people offer various solutions for me. It’s a community filled with experienced people.
As an SEO guy, I will suggest joining in all the SEO forums. I prefer Black Hat World, which is a gem of learning for SEO and Marketing. You can find tons of guides and case studies to follow, which will give you a clear indication of what to do. Don’t just register and sit idle. Start digging and reading.

Read all the updated blog post.
You have to study a lot. If you don’t like to read, then you will suffer in the long run. You have to read all the relevant blogs and the garbage as well. Yeah, you read it right. Because outdated or repeated or garbage post helps me to identify what should I avoid. Now, as a beginner, it’s hard to find which post is not up to the mark. In that case, follow the top and trusted blogs.

Read the case study.
You will find tons of case studies on the web. Just Google writing “keyword research case study” and check out the results. What I do to find similar case studies and take notes from all of them. Then merge the similar one, which is repeating the most. You always find some standard processes in every study. Please take a note of it and implement it to your project. A case study is the right learning way for everything. Because here, the authors always put a detailed outline of what he did.

Follow Top Digital Marketing Agencies
If you want to be a good Digital Marketer you need to follow the top digital marketers. There are many Digital marketers and if you have already had some interest, chances are that you already follow some gurus. If you already have not, you may find them on reviews sites like DesignRush, Clutch, TrustPilot, and many more.

Take free/paid courses.
As a beginner, you can take free courses. Udemy offers lots of free classes almost on every topic. Youtube is full of tons of videos about everything. Over time you can take the paid courses as well. Remember investing in learning is not a waste anymore. But you can check the review before buying any course.
But the essential point about the course is you have to finish it. I have a drawback here. I took many courses but hardly finished anyone. It’s like collecting the books for my showcase but never read it. You might find the courses boring or useless, but still, you have to finish it. Because you never know which point you will find helpful.

Follow a syllabus/routine.
Last but not least, you have to follow a routine or guideline. If I am talking about SEO, then SEO has a step by step guideline. You have to go through it properly. You can’t jump in one to another without completing it. Guess you started learning keyword research, but before knowing it properly, you started learning On-page SEO. You will end up learning nothing rather than wasting your time. Be organized, punctual, and follow the routine.
Building your foundation is the crucial part. And to make it you have to learn and read more. Research, analysis, and execution will take you to the next step. Always remember, nothing can motivate you if you are not ready to be motivated. I believe there is a difference between getting and taking anything. You can get so many ways or lessons, but if you don’t take it for yourself, then nothing will happen.
